Rev. Alexander Collins

Drawing upon John 13:1-17 and Luke 22:24, The Senior Pastor of Redeemed Life Church-the Life Center- Rev. Alexander Collins, says that greatness is not about “status” or what the world’s view of a great leader might be.

Preaching on the theme: “A Place At The Table” on Sunday July 11 in Mouds View, Minnesota, Rev. Collins noted that  Jesus, at His last teachable moment around the table with his disciples, desired to talk about the most important thing, servant leadership.  But before the leadership meeting around the table could start the disciples were already arguing among themselves about who’s going to be the greatest.

He said even though the agenda on the table was about servant leadership, the disciples had their personal agenda—whose going to be in control. Rev. Collins passionately noted many fine Christian men and women want to lead, but are challenged about following Jesus’ servant leadership agenda on the church’s leadership table. . He said if one wants to be great, he should start as a servant.

The Pastor challenged elders and deacons of the church to serve others—stressing that being a true follower of Jesus means serving others.  He assured them of place around Jesus’ leadership table, but cautioned them to come prepared to discuss His ‘kingdom agenda, not theirs.
