Are Photo of the Week

Don’t get jealous:
Mr. & Mrs. Emmanuel Toe are doing their own ‘thing’

The Management of the Liberian Media & Advertising Services is proud to announce the selection of Mr. & Mrs. Emmanuel Toe as Photo of the Week. They have been chosen for the positive role they are playing in the Diaspora and most especially for their recent wedding held on Saturday, July 31, 2010. Many Liberians and other nationals in the US describe their wedding as the “Wedding of the Decade”.

About Martha

Martha is a professional make-up artist and skin care specialist with Lancôme Cosmetics for the past 10 years. As the former Vice President of the Liberian Community of Northern California in Oakland, she was very active in community activities.  Her dedicated leadership to Liberians in California earned her the title as ULAA first Queen. She went on to serve as Second Vice Chair of ULAA’s Board of Directors.

About Emmanuel

Emmanuel is an entrepreneur and business consultant in Detroit. Emmanuel is a dedicated servant to the cause of uplifting the general welfare of Liberians in the USA. His sacrificial service to the Liberian Community in Michigan has made that Association the most result oriented Liberian community in the entire United States. He has been at the forefront in ensuring that Michigan participates in every ULAA activity.

How they met

The two met each other at the 2005 ULAA convention in Madison, Wisconsin. During the 2006 ULAA Philadelphia convention, both were introduced through Mr. Milen King of Rhode Island; the then campaign manager for Emmanuel’s elections bid to become ULAA’s President. Being enamored with Martha’s beauty and community activism, Emmanuel asked Martha on a date and, like they say in Liberia, the rest is history.

The Liberian Media & Advertising Services congratulates Mr. & Mrs. Emmanuel Toe and wishes them a long-lasting relationship.
